These multi focus styles are a great breakthrough in eyeglasses technology. Instead of the traditional trifocal which has three distinct areas of correction (one for reading, one for computer, and one for distance), the multi focus lenses have the entire lens graduated from the bottom (reading) to the very top (distance). The change is so very slight since the lens is graduated at such a small amount that most people can find no point in the lens that is blurry for them. Some people that cannot adjust to bifocals and trifocals are able to adjust to these progressives very easily. If you want to try a pair, remember that you can return them with no problem. We do not want anyone to keep a pair that they are unable to use!
The Prosecutor Progressive Multi-Focal is a new totally progressive lens. The bifocal is the power you order by. The lens goes progressively lower in power from bottom to top. It is different than a traditional bifocal or trifocal by the fact that there are not specific areas designated to a specific strength. The lens is totally progressive from bottom to top. Feel free to try this product as you can always return it for a refund if it does not work for you. Frame Measuements: 5 3/8" x 1 3/4" (temple to temple x height of lens)
This new progressive lens concept has never before been available in an over-the-counter priced eyeglass. It is amazing how well your eyes will adjust to the progressive lenses. They will work well for reading, computer work and over-the-desk distance. Many people need readers who do not need distance correction or perhaps just a bit of distance correction. These glasses are for that person! The Ambassador style comes in tortoise, black and clear. The frame has a spring hinge for a flexible fit. Frame Measurements: 5 x 1 1/2" (temple to temple x height of lens)
The power listing refers to the "range" of powers that are available within the lens; think of progressive lens as a seamless reading lens that has embedded powers from top to bottom. It's not like a bifocal or trifocal, where there's only fixed powers defined by the "lines" in the lens. Multi Focals have powers that are all between the listed powers. (For example, a reader with 2.0 that starts with 0.50 will "progress" from 0.50 to 2.0 in a seamless manner progressively (lens progressively increases focal strength, like .51, .51, .53 all within the vision so you don't get a disruptive power jump from bifocal or trifocal).
